This was created as a gift for my oncology surgeon, Nathalie Johnson, MD, FACS. July 2021 Dr. Johnson held my hand and sang to me as the anesthesia took effect prior to my bilateral mastectomy. Mt Hood can be seen from her office. The chickadee represents the beautiful songstress. The red boat, just myself passing by. The lake is Trillium Lake, OR. My cancer was detected early and my prognosis is <1% change of recurrence. Anyone reading this, please encourage the women in your life to have mammograms when recommended by their doctor.
